These were the first pieces of terrain I ever built for the Lord of the Rings game. After seeing the Two Towers I desperately wanted to do Helm's Deep, but I didn't want to fork the $$ for the GW figs. These aren't my best scratch built figs, but they are certainly playable!

Ouch! I painted this when I was not in the mood to figure out how to paint white properly... I am thinking of buying another one of these and having another go...

Naturally I didn't want to pay for the metal crossbow figs so I converted some. These are made using balsa wood as the shaft and thin cardboard as the metal bits.
