It's finally over... 2011 is done and now it's on to 2012! But first, here's the deal with my painted figures during the past year... Over all I was able to increase my painting total by 4.2%! That translates into a whopping 16 more figures painted in 2011 that in 2010. However, back in 2009 I painted 423 figures, so I'm still down from 2009. There were two projects driving the increase: the undead project that I finished in early 2011, and the 15mm Greek army in the summer.

This shows that I was really strong in early 2011, but fell off as the year drew to a close.
In asking why my productivity fell off in the later part of 2011, the answer is pretty obvious when I look at the non-accumulated painted figure graph by month:

That bump in June there...
That bump in June was due to a commission. I was looking for a new project around that time, as my painting had been dropping off since the undead project, and I thought I'd hammer through that commission and then get a new project on the other side! Of course, commissions always sap my enthusiasm for the hobby... remind me never to take commissions again! :)
