A shot of the front of the building with figs for scale! It looks small... but the detail
made it a huge project. In the end it turned out to be a tiny apartment building with
only eleven units! But it was a lot of work and six months of off-again-on-again work.
And it was all started over a simple comment made by one of the guys at my local gaming
store when I picked up some Soviets with sub-machine guns: "They are good for clearing
rooms" he said... And I thought, "I better make some rooms to clear!"...

This is a shot of the back and the side. Not the hole in the middle of the
back there, it was sorta designed with Enemy at the Gates in mind. Do you
remember which part?

A shot of the roof plus detail of the door leading up with some Soviets ascending to
repel the invaders!

This is the first floor of my modern ruin. It has been designed specifically to play Kharkov Russia during WWII, but has been kept vague enough to play 1916 Dublin during the Easter Rising, pretty much any ruined city in WWII (Stalingrad, Warsaw, Berlin, etc..), Hue in Vietnam during the TET offensive, and even modern zombie gaming :)
My goal was to have good detail without really hampering playability. I also wanted a real building layout with rooms and so on for actual building clearing missions. I plan to put together a scenario based around that idea using the NUTS! rules... But still, this is only the first floor, there are still three more to go...

Clearing apartments filled with enemies could be nerve racking...

After the floor is cleared of the enemy, it is time
to take care of other pressing business...

That blue and green thing in the middle of the room is not an alien squid... It is actually a plant in a pot that has broken due to falling off the table, which was also knocked over. The sculpt isn't too bad, but the paint job is quite rushed :)
