Battletech Lance Together: Griffin, Wraith, Locust, and Blackjack  -  Posted: February 21, 2026  -  Manufacturer: Catalyst Games Lab
This is the whole collection of pride-themed BattleMechs so far! I plan to paint all of the Inner
Sphere battlemechs from the Alpha Strike box set in this paint scheme! I enjoyed painting these since I
figured out the method with the Griffin it was easier and more enjoyable with these.

Battletech Wraith.  -  Posted: February 21, 2026  -  Manufacturer: Catalyst Games Lab
The Wraith from the front. Overall I'm pretty happy with it despite some sloppy lines here
and there. It was quite challenging for me to paint this one because I hadn't really entirely
figured out the paint scheme, and also the detail on these Catalyst Games figures is kinda soft!
Is that a hot take?

The transgender flag colours look really good to me on this rounded style mech! The trans flag
is on the top of th ehsoulder, but you can't see it in this picture...

I was experimenting with the black guns... making them look shiny. It's not as clean as I would
like, but it's interesting and works at the table distance.

You can kinda see the trans flag on the top of the shoulders in this one! I think the black
turned out well, but I'm not committed to it goign forward.

Battletech Blackjack  -  Posted: February 21, 2026  -  Manufacturer: Catalyst Games Lab
The third mech I painted in the transgender flag scheme, with a couple flags on the front
of the mech, and generally the colour throughout. This was the first mech where I was
pretty confident of the paint scheme and how I was going to paint it. I like it a lot and I
think it turned out pretty well. Still, I feel like the
detail is soft on these, and back in the day that's all anyone talked about when they talked
about the quality of miniatures... that and mould lines I guess haha.

The third mech I painted in the transgender flag scheme is the Blackjack. This was the first mech
where I was pretty confident of the paint scheme and how I was going to paint it. I also added the rainbow
on the cannons as well for fun and added a number in there.

The third mech I painted in the transgender flag scheme is the Blackjack. The side view shows just how challenging it was to do all that outlining haha!

Battletech Blackjack  -  Posted: February 21, 2026  -  Manufacturer: Catalyst Games Lab
The third mech I painted in the transgender flag scheme is the Blackjack. I've seen the rear vents painted in a white-hot style by others but I chose to paint them like
old mechanical vents and just leave them black. Maybe next time!

The third mech I painted in the transgender flag scheme is the Blackjack. I liked the pose on this figure a lot!

Battletech Locust.  -  Posted: February 21, 2026  -  Manufacturer: Catalyst Games Lab
The Locust is the smallest of all of the mechs so far, I like how the cockpit turned out, my idea was that there were
a couple of suns in the sky for this one! It looks great in the transgender flag colour scheme!

a couple of suns in the sky for this one! It looks great in the transgender flag colour scheme! Outlining
those panels is pretty challenging to do neatly.

going on in the rear for this mech.

Battletech Griffin  -  Posted: January 1, 2026  -  Manufacturer: Iron Wind Metals
I may have had this miniature for over 20 years, and I started painting it back then, stripped it recently
when I needed a Griffin for battletech and after days of searching online I looked at my old figs and found
that one of them was a Griffin after all! This is a trans-flag themed mech for sure, and it was really hard to
figure out how to paint mechs... turns out they aren't like Bretonnians or Empire troops.

Battletech Griffin  -  Posted: January 1, 2026  -  Manufacturer: Iron Wind Metals
It painted this and repainted it a few times before I realized that I have to transition from a dark colour
at the bottom of the panel to a light colour at the top, and then after that outline the whole pannel in a lighter
version of the colour. Then add scratches if you want.

This fig was hard because it was metal and chipped a lot, and also has so many little details with a lot of
flat panels. Also, it wasn't obvious where to put the different trans-flag inspired colours. Overall I'm pretty
happy with it though.

Are those panels on the back designed to be like eyes, so that from behind it looks like a face? Not sure, but
I decided to paint them blue in a sea of white and pink.

I tried to do a bright cannon nozzle, it worked okay. Also I tried to copy the common canopy cover, and it worked
out okay, it's basically a warhammer jewel.

Battletech Griffin with Epic 40k Warhammer Rhino Rhinos  -  Posted: January 1, 2026  -  Manufacturer: Iron Wind Metals
The Griffin with the transports that I plan to use for the Alpha Strike Aces campaign.
Yes, they happen to be old 6mm Epic Warhammer Rhinos. Why bypass a classic?
