My first Wargames Factory 1/56th scale plastic zombie! The flesh worked well for me
on this fig, but it took about three tries to get it right. The blood also worked well
I think; I used the wet brush flick method and then highlighted that with brighter red. I
also really like this particular fig because it can be used to represent an ex-soldier (as it is here),
a cop of various flavours, or just a guy in cargo pants!
As far as the Wargames Factory fig itself, it is pretty nice. There are a few things to note
though. It is true 1/56th scale, and not really 28mm scale; the details as so fine that it feels
like painting a 15mm miniature. The features, including face and clothing folds and muscles are
pretty well defined but not deeply defined, forcing the painter to add stronger highlights to
accentuate the details. Overall though, I'm happy with them!

The second plastic zombie I painted from Wargames Factory. I built this one with a broken
neck and painted it with the eyes up. I used the same methods on this figure as the previous. One
thing to note about the figure itself is that the shallow details were more apparent on this one.
Primarily, the hair was pretty much flat. That is true to the scale of course, as hair would be
flat in 1/56th, but it makes it hard to paint :) All the hair detail is pure highlighting. Overall
though, it's a good fig.

Here is the first image for scale comparison. This is the Wargames Factory zombies along with
Hasslefree adventurer Alyx. From the picture you can see that it will work on the tabletop. However,
you can see that Hasslfree's slighty larger style coupled with Wargames Factory's true 1/56th
scale makes for a noticably scale difference.

Another scale shot, this one comparing West Wind Productions Road Kill line police officer with
the Wargames Factory zombies. The WW fig is in line scale wise with the Hasslefree stuff, but since
this is an adult cop, the size difference is more apparent. However, as you can see, they will work
well on the table top!

Another comparison. This is between West Wind's older NAM miniature line. The zombie soldier
and the living soldier compare in height quite well, but the proportions are quite different.
Still, this will make for some great
Day of the Dead action I think! I like this image as well because the platoon leader is shooting
for the chest, and that particular zombie has bullet holes in his chest... Shoot for the head you fool!

Finally, a scale shot of all the figures I plan to use for the zombie action together. From
left to right we have Hasslfree Miniatures Alyx, Wargames Factory plastic zombie, West Wind
productions NAM platoon leader, Wargames Factory zombie, and a West Wind Road Kill Cop. Overall
I think they are definitely compatible with each other.
