Modern Zombies

Miniature Figure painted by Neldoreth - An Hour of Wolves & Shattered Shields

My first Wargames Factory 1/56th scale plastic zombie! The flesh worked well for me on this fig, but it took about three tries to get it right. The blood also worked well I think; I used the wet brush flick method and then highlighted that with brighter red. I also really like this particular fig because it can be used to represent an ex-soldier (as it is here), a cop of various flavours, or just a guy in cargo pants!

As far as the Wargames Factory fig itself, it is pretty nice. There are a few things to note though. It is true 1/56th scale, and not really 28mm scale; the details as so fine that it feels like painting a 15mm miniature. The features, including face and clothing folds and muscles are pretty well defined but not deeply defined, forcing the painter to add stronger highlights to accentuate the details. Overall though, I'm happy with them!
