Years ago I was working on another concept for a Bretonnian Lord character icon of a raven holding a scepter with the top being a fluer de lis, and I painted a few men (and women) at arms with that iconography. I stole that for this fig, but instead of putting it on a different colour, I went with my red and black and off-white colour scheme that I used on my original men at arms. I really like that shield, I feel it turned out pretty well.
